Self-confidence is an important aspect in our lives, yet so many people struggle to find it. Confidence is a state of mind which comes from the belief in our own abilities, skills, and experiences. Being self-confident is a personal thing, which isn’t the same for everyone. Different people have different levels of confidence. The good news is that self-confidence is a quality that can be learned and built upon where we naturally replace our fears and anxiety with greater confidence in ourselves and our abilities.
A key part of building self-confidence is being around people who help boost our confidence, instead of always putting us down. Being around positive people who are considerate and supportive will help us to feel more self-assured. As we become more confident in ourselves, we can then offer encouragement to others or become a role-model for someone who is less confident. When we have the self-confidence to be who we are, we discover our greater potential and how much we have to offer to the world.
